After stopping by Moore´s Creek Battlefield National Park, we headed to our friend's home in Emerald Isle. The closer we got, the worse the weather looked due to the approaching storm. We looked for Willie and Norma's address in our paperwork and discovered we had only written down a P.O. Box number. Willie and Norma receive their mail at the local post office and not their home. In any event, we called from the cell phone after getting lost, and received directions.

We saw Willie, Norma and their two brown labs at the top deck of their 3-story beach house as we pulled around the corner and into the driveway. What a beautiful home they have, with a new addition recently completed. We could tell they were very happy with the way it turned out, and we could also detect the pride in their home.

After conversing for a while, we were headed to the sites around Emerald Isle and Beaufort (a separate page). Saturday evening was highlighted with Norma cooking us dinner (supper in North Carolina) which was outstanding. A few more hours just sitting and talking about old times and it was off to bed in the guestroom. We almost thought about taking the king size bed and installing it in our trailer because it was so comfortable. Sissy asked Norma where the mattress was purchased, and she said that place on Virginia Beach Boulevard that's only open on the weekends (the Dump). I think Sissy is going to get one when we return from our adventure.

Sunday morning made for a foggy, windy time. After coffee and showers, Norma and Sissy took a walk to the beach for pics, and Willie and I took it easy in the great room watching over the critters (brown labs). And then, it was off to Wilmington (separate page).

We had a great time visiting with our friends Willie and Norma.
