| The first sea trials will take place in June, 2003 in my backyard swimming pool. The water is clear and warming up to the point where I can get into it with the beast. As you know, the first trial will be to test and fine tune the buoyancy of the boat. It must sit level, both on the surface and while submerged. |

The submarine may not be able to maneuver very well in the pool, but I will be able to test the WTC´s, the motors/propellers, ballast tanks, remote TV camera, bow/stern planes, rudders and missiles. Being able to see these in clear water is a definite advantage over a cloudy lake/river. |

When all looks well and working, it will be time to progress to a sheltered, fresh-water body of water. There just happens to be one in my backyard as well. It is a drainage canal for the neighborhood, but as you can see, it is quite wide. The water is cloudy/dirty, and I won´t be able to see everything working, but the ducks and turtles will definitely be able to see it coming! |

Another, closer view of the canal. |

And yet, another closer view.
