I purchased these batteries from Batteries Plus. As you can see, they have .187 Faston terminals. They are 12 volts - 7.5 amps each and will provide the electricity for everything electronic in my submarine (motors, electronic speed controls, ballast pumps, Clippard valves, video camera, lights, et cetera.) I haven´t decided yet whether to keep them separate or connect them in series. It´s going to depend on how much draw my motors will have! |

I purchased this electronic component from Ships-N-Things because it was cheaper, but it was actually manufactured by SubTech. It will be installed in my forward watertight container WTC. SubTech describes this component ... ´BE/VR (Battery Eliminator/Voltage Regulator) can be used to power the receiver and servos directly from the main battery, eliminating the need for a separate receiver battery. Eliminates the headache of having an extra battery to charge as well as wondering if the receiver battery will last as long as the drive battery. Also great for any application that requires a fixed 5 volt output. Small size (1 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2") allows you to mount BE/VR virtually anywhere. Can be used with any battery rated at least 6 volts.´ Next Step - Part 2 - Bilge pump and check valve installation |
