Part 3 - Manifold Box

The foam has been removed from the hull, and it´s time to determine the ideal location for the manifold assembly.

Here, you can see that I´ve placed the assembly aft of the VSP drives and in a location that provides for the most depth. Depth will be needed due to the height of the manifold assembly.

To limit the amount of water inside the hull, and to protect electronic equipment, I decide to build a tank. As you can see, I´ve placed two pieces of foam forward/aft.
I originally thought about using the port/starboard sides of the hull for the tank sides, but decided against that. Instead, I´ve placed two more pieces of foam between the forward/aft pieces. The hull itself will now only serve as the bottom of the tank.

These four walls also serve as structure bulkheads for the hull!

The red, electrician´s tape is temporary and will keep any resin from flowing out of the tank during fiber glassing.
