After removing more material from the bow and stern sections, and blowing the foam dust away with an air compressor, I applied duck tape to the area that will be Fiberglassed. Why duck tape? Because epoxy resin will not stick to it, and the foam and duck tape will be easily removed after Fiberglassing is complete. |
| The pink foam area you see on top will not receive Fiberglass. It will all be removed during the final process of hull construction. |

With the hull upside down, you can see the lines and curves on the bow that make this hull beautiful. |
| Here, you can also see the curvature of the stern. |

Once the duck tape had been applied, it was time for the first coat of epoxy resin. This was brushed on with a disposable paint brush. Plans are to apply at least one more coat prior to applying the several layers Fiberglass cloth. |
