Los Angeles Fireboat 2
BOAT DECK STRUCTURE

Part 2 - Bulkheads and deck

After making four bulkheads, it was time to begin cutting out the Fuel Fill & Vents locker (starboard), the Engine Room Escape locker (port), the entry for the Boat Deck Up/Down Stairway (aft & upper deck) and the opening for the manually operated Roll Up Door (aft).
Next, I needed some support pieces for the deck and also a floor support for the Engine Room Escape Locker.

Gluing everything together was pretty straight forward, but it was also time consuming. I took my time making sure the structure was level and square.
Here, you can see I´ve added the center piece for the deck. It is currently removable as I´m unsure, at this point, if access below will be needed.

I still have to fabricate the remaining port/starboard, angled bulkheads and glue them in place. I´ll do that next along with boxing in the Engine Room Escape locker (port), the entry for the Boat Deck Up/Down Stairway (aft & upper deck) and the Fuel Fill & Vents locker (starboard).
